Single-Sided Hanging System
How to Use a Single-Sided Hanging System
A "single-sided hanging system" is a unique and secure way of mounting a single-sided sign. It's appropriate for use with house signs and house number plaques of any size or weight. This unique system allows homeowners to wall-mount house number plaques and signs that might be too large or heavy for standard wall brackets to support.
A single-sided hanging system is a much more secure method of hanging house number signs. Usually, indoor and outdoor house number plaques are hanged using wall brackets, which suspend house number plaques by a single nail head (occasionally two) holding up a small triangular or rectangular bracket. House number plaques hanged in this way are not always level against the wall, and can be easily knocked free by a strong wind, getting jostled, or land tremors from an earthquake. With this innovative hanging system, you'll feel secure knowing your house number plaques are in no danger of falling, slipping, or being knocked free of their place on your wall.
How it Works
This hanging system consists of four interlocking aluminum "rails": two on the back of your sign, and two that must be mounted on the wall. The rails lock together by pairing up flanges (the angled pieces on the rails), fitting them together, and securely fastening them to one another. The first step is to measure the distance between the rails on the back of the sign, then mark those measurements on the wall where you plan to install your sign. Bear in mind the size and weight of your sign, as well as suitable anchor points in your wall.
Most house number plaques and home signs are installed outdoors, near the front door, but they're also appropriate placed above a garage, in the front room of the home, or directly on or inside the front door. Where you choose to install your house number plaques is entirely up to you, but keep in mind, it should be someplace visible to guests in your home rather than tucked away. Custom house number plaques can be kept in a bedroom or garage workshop, but duplicate house number plaques should also have a prominent and visible place in your home.
Once your measurements are marked, unlock the top wall rail from the back of your sign by turning the locking screws counter-clockwise until the rail pulls free. Mount the wall rails, flange upwards, using high-quality screws or your preferred type of fastener. Then, match up the flanges on the back of your sign to those on the wall rails, slide them together, and close down the locking screws by turning clockwise.
The single-sided hanging system is a superior wall-mounting solution for quality house number plaques and home signs. Your house number plaques and home signs are an investment; protect them while displaying them proudly with a single-sided hanging system.
